LindLund

I co-founded Lindlund and led the design of our first product, the Alm Ruler. Our goal was to produce tools that could bridge digital and physical, aimed at designers. We got funded through Kickstarter and sold over 3500 rulers across 46 countries.

LindLund was formed by me and my good friend Jens Marklund. We took out the shared part of our surnames, mark, and turned it into LindLund; a brand under which we could explore joint products.

The idea for a ruler came from our love of tactile products. We both enjoy sketching out our ideas and we wanted something to help us, and other designers, sketch digital products by hand and to scale. The idea was simulating a pixel grid at a set DPI.
